Kopenhagen Fur Auction - Top Lot buyers will use skins in Russia |
|
The February auction lasts from Saturday 6 to 9 February. During the four sales days more than 4 million mink skins will be on offer along with a series of other skin types such as chinchilla, sable and fox.
On the February auction there were two top lots, with two different buyers.
The Black Velvet female top lot was bought by Manios Dimitrios of Centro Bel Furs, Italy, at the price of DKK 800 (USD 147) per skin. Mr. Dimitrios who does 70 per cent of his business in Russia, bought the top lot because of his Russian costumers.
My costumers read Vouge and Elle and are used to the best quality in everything they buy, and that is why they will expect the same of my products, Mr Dimitrios says. For now the top lot is going to be on display on his stand at the MIFUR fair.

I am going to make a coat for the first lady of Russia, Svetlana Medvedev, Alessandro Pajaro says.
The Russian first lady has not put in an order for a fur coat, but she is one of Alessandro Pajaro’s regular customers, and he wants to tempt her with an exclusive coat.
